I hope you all enjoyed the beautiful weekend the best way you could! Opened a window. Sat on the porch. Laid out on the lawn. Walked around your neighborhood (maintaining a safe distance). It definitely stinks being stuck inside on a weekend like we just had so I hope you found some way to enjoy it.
Today marks the start of our second week of Distance Learning and all the teachers agreed that you all rocked last week! Some definite struggles and many new things learned by literally everyone, but most of you were on top of your work and contacting teachers. You should all be super proud of the work HMS students put in last week. Expect food and work packet deliveries today!
Do your best to roll into week two with a positive attitude and maintaining some semblance of a schedule. Try to wake up at the same time everyday. Try to check the Google Classrooms around the same time everyday. Try to do Mr Slavik's Tough it Out Tuesdays around the same time everyday. Maintaining a schedule and continuing to push yourself academically are healthy habits to develop in a time like this.
Now, onto our Caption Contest from this weekend! If you didn't know about it well that's on you, homie! Check ItsMrC.com as often as you can because I WILL be posting all kinds of fun and random contests and initiatives! PAY ATTENTION!
The winner of the first caption contest is Fahad! He won his choice of HMS School Store shirt! Congratulations Fahad!
HMS water bottles from our Throwback Thursday contest will be going home tomorrow!
Let's hit Movie Monday! This past week we all watched Coco and Space Jam! Below you will find Ms Reed's review videos of both movies! See what she thought!
Next week we will be watching Goodburger (Netflix) and Cars (Disney+).
Participate. Have fun. Stay safe. Don't be nasty.
Yummy! any excuse to have chocolate and it's healthy for you. Thanks, Ms. K!
For me Coco was an exciting movie because it shares the Mexican tradition of Day of Dead and its profound meaning through the eyes of a young person; whenever a loved one dies, it remains active and the family pays tribute on that day so they're not forgotten. It also paints accurately how strong family ties in the Latino culture. I also loved the music!
